Sep 2016 - Making of the DWKFR video, Studio Build Pt. 4 & more...

September has been a month of heavy construction on the studio we're building, as the next months are likely to be too. It will be worthwhile though. Once we have our own place to work on music 24/7, things will move forward at a faster pace. Songs for the third album are cooking also.

Studio Building: Part 4.

The main focus of the studio building in September was: (1) installing the overhead beam, (2) the upright stanchion and (3) the steel security door. Happy to say those have all been done.

Overhead beam & Plastering.

The hardest part of installing the 15ft overhead beam wasn't lifting it, but more about cutting out space in the wall for it to go. The blocks they used 60 years ago were incredibly dense. Drilling holes into the steel was a nightmare too, BUT... the overhead is all nicely built into position now.

Dividing Door.

The control room door was the next big obstacle. It took a lot of planning and measuring to get aligned and bolted in correctly, and jacked up to allow about 4 inches below the frame for a potential suspended floor. That's done though and the more exciting stuff starts next month.

Note that there's a gap above the door...

 ...and now there isn't.

Making of "Don't Wanna Kill For Religion" video.

The video for "Don't Wanna Kill For Religion" was online a few weeks ago. Thanks to the people who have sent us nice comments about it. Here's a few bits of footage from the night of the shoot.

Thanks to the IMC Magazine for featuring our "Don't Wanna Kill For Religion" video in their September Picks, and any of the DJs who've given us support for the song following it's release.
